Tropical Biodiversity Action and Research Centre (TBARC) is dedicated to conserving biodiversity through research, education, and community action. We believe that ecological well-being and human prosperity are interconnected, and our mission is to safeguard this delicate balance by addressing pressing conservation challenges. From restoring degraded habitats and protecting endangered species to fostering environmental awareness and community participation, we aim to build a sustainable future for both people and nature. Our work is rooted in scientific research, innovative conservation tools, and inclusive community-driven approaches that encourage participation at every level.
We strive to bridge the gap between science and society by making conservation accessible, engaging, and impactful. By collaborating with government agencies, research institutions, NGOs, and local communities, we develop creative strategies to address biodiversity loss, human-wildlife conflict, and climate change impacts. Education is a central part of our work-we design school programs, organize workshops, and build nature interpretation centers that connect people to their environment. We also prioritize training and professional development, offering internships, research opportunities, and leadership programs to nurture the next generation of conservation professionals. Beyond education, TBARC emphasizes innovation, using technology like drones, GIS, and mobile applications for monitoring ecosystems and tracking wildlife. We believe that conservation must benefit both nature and communities, so we integrate sustainable livelihood opportunities, traditional ecological knowledge, and eco-friendly enterprises into our programs. Through citizen science initiatives, immersive field camps, and creative outreach such as wildlife film festivals, we aim to inspire individuals-especially youth-to become lifelong environmental stewards. Our vision is of resilient ecosystems, thriving species, empowered communities, and a planet where humans live in harmony with nature.
